Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born into a musical family on August 9th, 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel superstar Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. As a child she performed in the New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. At the age of she turned fifteen, Houston was singing professionally as a backing vocalist with her mother on Chaka Khan's song from 1978 Im Every Woman. She went on to provide the backing vocals of Jermaine and Lou Rawls as well as her mother, and also was briefly models for the cover of Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. She started as a featured singer for The New York-based New York Funk band Material. The quality of her vocal work earned her the attention of big record labels like Arista where she signed up in 1983. The album she released as her debut Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and quickly became the top-selling album of an artist who was a rookie. Her album featured several hits including How Will I know You're Good to Me, Saving All My Love For you and The Most Beautiful Love of All. It was instrumental in her achieving seven US chart-topping songs in succession, a feat that beat the Beatles. The album came out in 1987 and has sold more than 25 million copies around the world. The Whitney album released in 1987 featuring the tracks I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to and continued to be a huge success. It is The Bodyguard of 1992 that turned her into one of the biggest-selling artists in history. While the movie itself and the performance of her in it weren't widely praised the soundtrack album and her cover of Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You topped the charts of albums and singles for months, and was sold at 44 million copies across the globe. When she gave birth to her daughter Bobbi Brown, she got married to Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group. It was about this time that her widely documented usage of drugs began. By 1996 she was an everyday addict.

Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she is more commonly known as an American anchorwoman reporter as well as CNN's political correspondent. Her past work includes NBC, CBS and other notable channels. She also produces some of CNN's weekends shows such as Evans & Novak Late Edition and Inside Politics. Bash received a Women in Washington Power List prize in Elle magazine. Her amazing anchoring and reporting capabilities are well-respected by numerous journalists. Additionally, she is a loving mom to her son even though she graduated of George Washington University. The couple has had two marriages and is now single. Bash is a fan of her fans and her fans with all her heart.
